BOWLING.
AKAROA CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Akaroa Bowling Club was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday evening, the president (Mr G. Armstrong) being in 'he chair. There was a good attendance of members. The report and balance-ehcot, ehcwmg a credit balance of £l3 Os lOd, was read and adopted. The following wore ilected officers for the ensuing reason:—President, Mr Jaa. Brown; vice-president, Rev J. W. Havward; Committee, Messrs J. D. Bruce, T. Lewitt, A. M Killop, 11. L. Cope and A, It. Mim.ro; honorary secretary, Mr A. H. Wcstonra; treasurer, Mr G. W. Thomas; auditor, Mr 0. W. Leete; delegate to New Zealand Bowling Association, Mr E. C. Chegwin. It was decided to open the green on Thursday, October 16Two new members were elected.
