WEDDING.
WOOIX-KAWKK. At. the Methodist- Church, Oxford, on Wednesday, August 27, the wedding took place of Miss Mabel Hawke (only daughter of Mr and Airs David Hawke) and Air Herbert. Wood. The Bev T. K. Hoot was the officiating minister- The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simply-made frock of ! white silk, with tulle veil and orange blossom. She carried a, bouquet of. lovely white flowers, and was attended by Miss May Hawke (cousin of the bride.) and Miss Rose Wood (sister nr the bridegroom), dressed in pale Hue voile, both bridesmaids wearing black hats trimmed with pink, and blue. The best man was Air Len Hawke, and the groomsman. Air Reid. After the ceremony the quests were entertained by Air and Airs Hawke at their residence. The large dining-room, where a substantial wedding breakfast was laid, was decorated with spring flowers and white winter roses. The bride’s mother wore a costume of fine navy serge, and a black hat, trimmed with black and white. The bride’s travelling costume was of brown worsted, with which were worn a cerise blouse and hat to match.
