CYCLE FATALITY.
[P*r Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 20. At an inquest to-day the Coroner returned a verdict that “Leonard Norman fisher died on July If) from injuries caused by a collision with a cycle ridden by Carl Melville Hoffman, and that the bicycle was properly lighted. - The Coroner expressed the opinion that Hoffman, who was riding down an incline, should have been able to see deceased and avoided him. The police formally charged Hoffman with manslaughter. He was remanded till August 28. on hail £2OO.
