Iu connection with the activities of the Otira Tunnel League, the Mayor has telegraphed to Mr T. E. Y. Seddon, M.P., inviting him to meet tlws league, M.P.’s and Other citizens at Christ church at 2.30 n-ra. on Friday. Mr G. 'Witty, M.P. for Riccartou. has received advice, from the PostmasterGeneral that authority has been given; for the new post office building tp be erected at Upper Riccarton, and that) the matter-was now in the hands of the Public Works Department. THe amount for tho work Ims been on the estimates for some years past, hut owing to the war expenditure the matter was not pressed un the Government earlier.
