The Halswell County Council decided. at its last meeting, to donate four guineas towards the funds for the reception to Admiral Jellicoo. At the meeting of the council of the Canterbury Automobile Association last night the secretary (Mr O. W. Hervey) reported that since. August 1, 1918, 452 new members had joined the association.
