MILL ACCIDENT. [Pkh Press Association.] TAUMARUNTJI, August 14. A serious accident happened to 15. Tringrove, a settler employed at Stevens, Hendei-son and Oo.’s mill, Piriaka. Through falling under a moving truck, he sustained a compound fracture of the right arm. Medical ala was obtained and the man was removed to the Tauraarunui hospital. FATAL FALL FROM A TRAP. [Per Press Association.] GISBORNE. August 14. The police have received information that a fatal accident occurred under unusual circumstances at -Makarori Beach on .Tuesday, resulting in the death of a Maori boy, Timi Whakatiri, nine years of age. The deceased was in a trap with his uncle and a Maori girl, who were sitting on the front seat, the lad being at the back. The party left Manutuke to proceed to Tatapurd, but on the beach the horse became restive, clayed up, and the lad fell out. breaking his neck. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death, no blame being attachable to the driver, was returned.
