Nurse Agnes Currie, trained ni St Helens Hospital, Christchurch, has taken over “The Elms” Ala,iernjty Hospital, Rangiora, lately occupied by Airs Tenths. The building has been renovated and is now one of the most up-to-date hospitals. The Swannanoa Social Club held a pmfftssftve euchre party and dance in the Swannanoa Hall on Friday eveningnit • a ar S 6 gathering assembled from ad the surrounding districts. The winners of the first prizes of the euchro were Aliss Ruby Ai’lutosb and Air C Henderson, and of. the boobv prizes Miss AAittleo and Air Haseltine. A dainty supper was Served, after which dancing was' indulged in. The music was . supplied by Airs H. Winter, Aliss Taylor and Alisa AVmter (piano). Air AV. E. Ivnighi (comet). Air Henderson (violin) and Air Haseltine (piano). Songs weremontributed by Mr R. Grant ami Air C. Henderson. Air George AVinter was M.G.
