Priedlander presiding Several claims on tho accident fund were handed to the Accident Fund Committee for consideration and repent-. The Rakaaa Club wrote in reference to an allegation tnat some of their players were under the influence of liquor in a recent match, lha secretary was instructed to write to the Kasai a Club strongly objecting to the dictatorial tone of their letter. Tho Rakaia Club also wrote on tho question of referees appointed. It was decided to reply that the union bad every confidence in the referees appointed to take charge of matches, and it considered tho Rakaia Club had no for complaint. With regard to the question of a referee playing in some matches, it was pointed out that the union had; fully discussed tae matter, and was of opinion that nr harm was likely to arise. Referees were appointed for nil matches to bo played during the week. Tho points gained, .by ijva respective clubs in connection with tho Ashburton County Rugby Union are as follow:—Mothvon 8, Aohburion 54, Old Boys -1, Springburn 3J, Retain, 3, Southern Cross 0.
