VICTORY BALL AT KAIAPOI
The Peace celebrations a), Kaiapoi concluded with a very successful ball held in the Drill Hal) on Friday night. Tbe decorations were elaborately . carried out in mauve and heliotrope ■ wistaria., evergreens and peach blossoms, all brilliantly illuminated with mimexous electric lights of various shades. Ihe supper-roOm was gaily decorated wxth tmy flags. Mr H. Childa was responsible for /the lighting effects. Mrs 1. Leithead was head of a committee, consisting of Mesdames L. B. Evans and H. M’ln. tosh, blisses M. Knight, A. Busby, L. Fawcett and K. Wills, Messrs A. Rollinson. E Monk, A. Hirst and A. Forrest, all of whom worked hard for the success of the affair.
