GENERAL ELECTION.

NOT BEFORE DECEMBER. The Hon J. A. Hanan, Minister of Education, was asked yesterday when the next general election would take place. He replied that it was not likely to take place before December. Speaking of the coming session, Mr Hanan said that it could not be'held before the leaders returned to New Zealand, and it would last a good deal longer than most people seemed to think.
