Baidak Fort, which tho British have captured, was considered impregnable. Our high explosive shells destroyed tho bomb-proof shelters, and a frontal assault by the Indian cavalry and infantry carried the fort. Events point to a probable march on Kabul, where tho Amir is enmeshed in Court intrigues.
