Brigadier-General Richardson was asked this mprnimr if the rumour had' any foundation. He stated that so far no decision had been arrived at regarding the matter, bub he felt confident that the. Government would do the faih thing for the returned men. He and other officers of the Expeditionary Force had placed their own views om the ’Question before the Minister, and ho felt confident that the soldiers would- ■ not be disappointed when the final pronouncement was made, which would no l doubt be very soon.
