<, SUCCESSFUL ART UNION. The art union conducted hv the Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association was drawn in the Chamber of Commerce last evening by Mr J. S. Barrett, the supervisors being the Mayor (Mr H. Holland) and Sergeant King. The result of the drawing was:— First prize . . N O , 11,113 Second prize . . No, 27,964 The first prize is a modem fiveroomed bungalow, at 53, Francis Avenue, St Albans, and the second a quarter-acre section in Colombo Stret south. There was a large attendance to witness the drawing, which was con ducted by marbles, bearing all tho numerals 1 to 9 and the 0, the barrel containing them being revolved aftei each marble had been drawn, Speeches congratulating the association on the success of its effort were made by several of those present. The first prize in the art union was won by Mr Delaney, an employee of the Kaiapoi Clothing Company". Mr S. Buchanan, 77, Flockton Street, St Albans, drew tho second prize winning number.
