PREFERENCE CLAUSE.
MI NET?S' STRIKE THREATENED, [Pur Press Association.] WAIHI. March 7. A ballot of miners and battery hands ivas taken yesterday on die question of the enforcement of the danse in the award giving preference to unionists. It was decided by a, majority of .313 to Ido t,o cease work if the companies did .not enforce the cruise. The ballot was taken at the instance of the Miners’ Fedot ation and the Federation of Labour.
