In this respect they were beginning a new ora. One outcome of the war was the encouraging of all health-giving outdoor sports, and swimming and surfing wore amongst the best. He was glad to know the schools were taking up the matter mote seriously, and that the old system of cram was giving way to a saner and healthier training of body and mind. Ho congratulated the visiters, upon many of their performances, and wished them a pleasant stay fti the borough. Mr B. S. Life saving was being dopo-woluntarily up to the present, but the public should bo prepared to support It by practical financial assistance.
