The Pope, addressing the Catholic Labour Association in an encyclical, states :—-“ Through all the changes in the world the association to-day preserves all its pristine vigour. The Holy See’s solicitude for the welfare of the workers is undiminished. That welfare merits the attention of , all desiring to promote thd general good,” ’The_ encyclical - adds that the Pope’s heart is with those who organise unions and form part of their membership.
