TRAINED NURSES’ CLUB.
annual meeting of the Trained Nurses’ Club was held last evening in the Oadena Tea Rooms, when there was a fair attendance of representative nurses, presided over by Miss M. J. Rood. After the report of the year’s work had been rend, and the balancesheet adopted, a delightful programme of musical items, arranged by Mrs Burnes-Loughnan, was given. Those who contributed were Miss Mallicent Jennings, Miss Eileen LasccUes,' and Mr Cocks, who sang; Mi’s John Guthrie, who ployed a ’cello solo, accompanied by Mrs Russell; Mr R. Clark, who played a violin solo; and Mr William Fredericks, who gave a musical monologue and a humorous recitation. Miss Lillian Harper was the accompanist. Opportunity was taken to welcome hack Sister M’Cfae and Sister Floyd, who have recently returned from abroad. Supper wgs _and altogether the evening was a jolly one. Those present, included Miss Muir and several nurses from tho Christchurch Hospital, Nurse. Turner and Several other nurses. from The Limes, and Miss Newman and nurses from St Helens Hospital, Mrs George Harper, Mrs J. Loughnan (Timaru), Mi's Pairman, Mrs Orooke Miss Jessie Hill, Mr Boyes and Mrs Whetter, besides many others.
