■ to the xDrroß. , would bo obliged, and no uoubt many more of your readers would oe interested, if you could inform me whether it is a fact that the mere v®. moral from one address to aiiother--oither before the closing of the roll, or between tho date of closing the roll and the licensing poll, will deprive an elector of the right to vote at thtr poll. _ A great number of people are' removing their place ,of residence fit tho present time, which makes the matter one of considerable interest.. There was at one time a -proviso that absence irom the address on the roll did not disqualify an elector from voting in the district in which, he was registered, provided ho had resided in snch iriet for a period of not less than gi\days during the six months hmnediateh preceding the election or poll and had not become registered in another district. Does this still apply? or does the clause in the Licensing Amendment Act providing that change of‘address shall he a ground of objection to ariv nanmon n. roll or supplementary t»,m override this provision?
