DEMAND FOR COLONIES. AMSTERDAM, March 2. Tieimar telegrams state that tho female members of the National Assembly proposed a motion, which was carried, demanding tho immediate raising of tho blockade and the release of tho German war prisoners. A motion was also carried demanding the return of tho Gorman colonies. The independents opposed the motion. The Minister for tho Colonies declared that Article 19 in tho League of Nations covenant hud painfully surprised and bitterly disappointed the Germans. It represented veiled annexation. It was vital for Germany to have colonics, he said. He appealed to President Wilson to see that the various claims were settled in such a way as would create an unshakable League, which would guarantee a lasting world’s peace. The Assembly passed a. Bill providing for a moratorium within the empire; also a Dill empowering the Government to take all economic and financial measures necessary to carry out tjio armistice terms. THE DISARMAMENT. ALLIED COMMISSION WILL SUPERVISE. PARIS, March 2. The "Eoho de Paris” believes that the Inter-allied Military Commission will supervise tho destruction of all guns and aeroplanes in Germany beyond what is necessary to equip the reduced German army. Allied experts will permanently supervise the great armament factories.
