TRAMWAY COPPER TRAIL.
GREEN TICKET IN THE LEAD. Yesterday’s returns of the positions of the competing districts in the Tramway Copper TTail showed no change. The various places are still filled as follow : 1— Green ticket; Spreydon, Riccarton, Lincoln, Road, Coronation Street. 2 Buff ticket: Sumner, Lyttelton, Heathcoto, Woolston. 3 Pink ticket; Opawa, St Martins, Cashmere, Sydenham. ’ 4 Blue _ ticket: North and South Brighton, Dallington, Bromley and Linwood. 5 Yellow ticket; Fendalton, Papanul 6 White ticket: Marshland, Cranford Street, Edgeware Road. On Wednesday next. October 2, the Marshland Ladies’ Guild (president, Mrs Charles G. Dalgety) will be in charge of the Lady Liverpool stall in Cathedral Square. There will be the us'aal display of delicious home-made cakes, eggs, butter, onions, jam, pickles, sweets, flowers, etc., and there will also be a Christmas tree to tempt the wee folks. A few of the fir cones will be sold. Competitions include a cord of sawn fir wood, to be delivered in town; a very handsome pearl necklace, dressed doll, camisole, etc., the proceeds t 0 be added to the White Ticket or the Tramway Copper Trail, I
