A concert under the direction of Miss Claridge was given by the children of St James’s Sunday School in the Town Hall, I .ewer Riccarton, on Tuesday last. Songs were rendered by Miss D. Philpott, I. Christian and Master E. Christian; recitations by Misses K. Whitta, J. Harris. Scoutmaster Frogatfc and Masters B. Munro, Munsey, J. Calvert and E. Milne; piano duet, Masters R. and L. Jarman and piano solos Masters Lnramis and H. Brook. Mias Harris and Master A. Eaton gave a dialogue with appropriate stage and musical effects, assisted by Mrs Gray and -Miss Claridge. Mr Brook contributed a, violin solo, the St. Michael’s Scouts Band rendered items, and the local Scouts an interesting dialogue. The Kindergarten children, under Miss Reynolds, gave action songs, and Miss 1) Pmlpott several dances. Miss Ctarulgo. and Miss' Philpatt acted as ao"■onipjnusts,
