Accused had been employed on the railway for n great many years. I lie Magistrate imposed a hue ol 4ds, and warned accused that a repetition of the offence would bo punished by imprisonment.. For failing to register under the Defence Acb, Yictor Edward Olvde Mil ham HiHor Cockle. James MaVtin Cookie, George Henry Tomlins and Edwin Baden-Powell White were each lined 20s and costs, and for ? similar offence Charles Lester Wright was fined os and costs. For failing to" attend drill Thomas Brady was fined 10s and costs, and Irevor Baas and Roland Parker Breeze were convicted and discharged.
