The executive committee of the Farmers’ Union has passed the following resolution:—“ That this executive, after conferring with the machineowners, is determined to give them every support in opposing the conditions asked for, by the Machine "Workers’ Union, aS'cwe consider the grant-mgCpf the same would have disastrous results upon grain growing.” The hearing of the Supreme Court action Hopkins t. Hills, a claim for commission, will not be resumed until "Wednesday next, at 10.30 o’clock. A chamber sitting is being held to-day, and on Monday bis Honor Mr Justice Herdman will preside at a. sitting in du-orce. Argument in the DormanTobeck pase, an action for specific performance, is set down for Tuesday next, at 10.30 a. m. ’ All classes have contributed to tbs sum of sacrifice.
