AGREEMENT WITH IMPERIAL AUTHORITIES, TO PAY 76 PEll CENT. [Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, August 27. Tlie following cablegram from Sir Joseph Ward, London, has been received by the acting-Minister 0 f Finance : i "The Treasury has agreed to pay 75 per cent of all meat after three months in store, removing the re Ptnction on 80,0(10 tons measurement or any other 1 quantity.” Tho above information will be re ceived with much satisfaction, not only by owners of meat in store, but by the community generally, as it will considerably relieve the financial ’position owing to the largo quantity of meat accumulated as a result of tho shortage of' shipping.
