(Received August 27, 9.30 a.m.) , PARIS, August 26. hj Rom an early hour yesterday thousands nocked to Champ de Mars to see the gun captured by tho Australians, who baptised it “Little Bertha-” Tlie gun, which was taken with its own locomotive, was exhibited with four trucks containing shells, spare parts, repair shops and gunners’ quarters. The gun weighs 150 tons, the tube is twonty-six feet high, and the shells fire five feet high. It can only bo fired in .one direction, and is accordingly moved on curved rails. The detachment of Australians who captured tho gun mounted guard, and the visitors all day cheered and congratulated them. Many visitors travelled long distances from the provinces. ~ Til s, is inscribed: “ Captured by 1918 n, ntls 1 Fourfch Army, August 8, It is understood that the gun will later bo exhibited in London.
