Sensational Patriotic Tour. VANCOUVER, May 21. Mndamo Melba raised £70,000 for patriotic purposes. She entertained thousands of soldiers in the American cantonments. She broke her wrist in Texas, where a beam fell from the theatre flies, but she continued the performance. Mndamo Melba was in an automobile accident., a locomotive explosion, a runaway private car, and was slightly burned while boiling water for lea. She saw a man killed on the spot when he was run over by an automobile. Nevertheless the tour was a great success.
