TO THE EDITOR, Sir.—l was surprised to hear Bishop Julius's diatribe against the pictures, lie need not have lold us that be did not go to pictures once a year. T would advise him lo rhnuge his habits, and to try a- night a week at some of the great, screen plays now showing in the Christchurch picture theatres. Nor need he worry about Ins abstinence closing them down--a healthy-minded public will fite- that they r.re kept open. and. (hat the picture;- shown are decent. But why select. “Divorce .Made Kasy, ! ’ a fictitious title, when he could have found much to praise in the 'recent picture, “ Enlighten Thy Daughter.in which was featured the very education ot which .Bishop Julius declares Christchurch to he ip such serious need?-—I am. etc.. A BEGTLAB PATBON.
