Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 8, 9.10 a.m.) PARIS. April 6. It is officially stated that when M. Clomenceau assumed office conversations were going on with Switzerland. M. Clemenpcau did not interfere, blit instructed Count Armand to listen and say nothing. (A semi-official message from Vienna received yesterday stated that Count Czernin said that the French War Office had send) Count Armand to Switzerland to confer with the Austrian representative respecting peace terms.)
