PERMANENT RAILWAYMEN'S SICK BENEFIT SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annua! meeting of tho Christchurch Permanent Railway Employees' Annual Sick Benefit Society was held in the ambulance room on Saturday oven ; ug. Mr A. E. Rowse, president occupied the chair. lieiore business was proceeded _witb those present stood while the president read the names of members who had fallen in action. The report and balance-sheet, which were adopted, showed the receipts to have been £L2Lo 'J? lOd r.'nd the expenditure C 731 10s 2d, leaving a. credit balance of £483 us Bd. It was decided to make a. refund of -Is per full member. Ofiieers were elected as follow : -President, Mr A. E. Rowse; vice-president, Mr F Enser; secretary, Mr W. Anderson ; treasurer. Mr F. J. A vote of thanks was passed to the stationmaster for the use of the room, and also for the nse of the guards' room as a meeting-place for the committee during the year.
