Michael Ryan, a single man, aged thirty-six .years, died in Blenheim hospif.nl" yesterday, as a result of injuria received while bush felling in the. Opouri Valley on Saturday. A tree fell, breaking'both his legs and one ot his arms.

[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND. November 26. Joseph Stonex died yesterday from injuries sustained on November J'2, ■when he was found on the floor of .Stonex Bros', dairy at Newton.
DROWNED
[Per Press Association.] THAMES, November 26
Percy Baker and Alfred Houghton, while fishing from a rock, were, surrounded by the rising tide. Houghton swam ashore., but Baker apparently struck, his head on the rock when diving, and was drowned. H 0 was a member of a well-known Thames family. One brother is Director of the. School of Mines and another is at the front. Deceased leaves a widow.
