~* PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ATTITUDE. ~ [Per Press Association.] D'I'NEDI.N, November 20. At, the Presbyterian Assembly to-day there, was a discussion concerning a recommendation from the Publications Committee, that the Assembly, lor the guidance of the editor of the •'Outlook/' should make a definite, pronouncement as to the attitude of the Church on the question of war and peace. Professor Dickie moved to the effectthat the Assembly believed there can be no stable peace unless the military power of the Central Empires is shattered on. the field of battle.
The Rev Trotter brought forward a motion to the effect that the Church believes the only hope of the final elimination of war is through the diffusion of the spirit of Christ. Professor Dickie's motion was the one discussed, and after a debate the Assembly decided to set up a committee to'declare. Ihe attitude of the Church.
