F. C MURRAY. The- death is announced of Mr Frederick Charles' Murray." for many years a prominent resident of Lincoln, who was closolv associated witth local bodies. The late Mr Murray was born in Dublin in 18-13.-and with his father, the John Murray, of Lincoln. Road. Christohurcli'. arrived at'Lytteltouin thershrpj Labuiui in ISSI-. He began to farm at ! Lincoln, his estate -ultimately amountins; to 1200 acres of rich, tortile land. Mr Murray tarried on a successful- -sys?. torn -of -inisred-farmmg-.-and--was--the owner of one of the finest flecks of Leicostcrs in Canterbury, descendants of the celebrated stud flock of. Mr EveryMacLcan, of Auckland. His herd or Shorthorn cattlo claimed an equally disunsuished descent. He always took a | prominent part in all local affairs con-/ I netted with his district, arid was a member of the Road Board for ! 'Panv rears. Mr Murray was a- memj b(?r of the Canterbury Agricultural and ; Pastoral Association, and was a most prize-taker with sheep arid i cattlo at Chrisiehurch and Timaru.
