Ho was formerly a solicitor, and for many years was ono of the chief stewards of Her Majesty's Manors. He was a promoter of tho volunteer movement in 1859, and from 1860 to 18G7 served as captain in both the 33rd and 40th Middlesex Voluniteer Corps.) _____________
