AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP OF CHRISTCHURCH.
A meeting of elnb delegates was held in Messrs Alcock and Co.'a showrooms last night, to arrange the prelimnary details in connection with tho seventh amateur billiard championship of Chrifltchurch. It was resolved that tho rules governing the competition bo adopted as read. It was decided lo ask clubs to nominate three players, and tha nominations should close on August <>. Tho next meeting will be held on August 7, when entries will be, received, and tho date of commencing the championship will be arranged. LADIES' TOURNAMENT. Tho preliminary rounds of tile, ladies' tournament wore playod on Wednesday night in Messrs Alcock and Co.'s showrooms, upon an Bft billiard dining table. Tho tournament proper, 100 up, will commence on Monday evening, when tho following games will bo played:—7 p.m., Miss Eolph (rec 30) v. Misa Mukock (rec 25); 7.45 p.m., Miss Ost!/e.r (owe 100) v. Mrs Fox (owo 80); 8.30 p.m., Mrs Gray (scratch) v. Miss Ostler (owe 100).
