Brother Burgees reported having attended tho annual meeting of tho United Friendly Societies' Council, giving details of .election of officers, balance-sheet and auditor!?' report, etc. Tlw report wan adopted and the delegate thanked. Brother Bates reporu-d havmc: attended the annual meeting of the I?riendlv Societies' Dispensary, and the report was adopted. The report of the Grand Lodge's annual meeting- was held over If:! next lodge nij-dit. The lodge then adjourned when u card match waa played, against the ueen's Own Lodge. During supper musical items v/ere contributed by several of fiio brethren.
On Tuesday evening a concert -wn,p held in the Linwood Presbyterian Church T' nil. There was a very large attendance. The choirmaster, Mr Fraeor, had arranged an excellent; programme, which was much appreciated. Items were given by Mrs Pearco, Misses Hay ward, Smith, Gilmour and Sproaten, and Messrs Bartlett and Morrison. The proceeds of tho evening - will bo devoted to tho debt extinction and funds of the churcli.
