T!:e result of the <ourt-;nartial in the case of Samuel Edward Fitzgerald, who was drawn in the first ballot, is announced. jjit-zgerafa was charged with having deserted from his Majesty's service iu be absented himself from tho Expeditionary Forces until he was apprehended by civil authority, lie at the tinio having signed on as a steward on the Manuka for Sydney. The Court found the accused guilty, and sentenced him to imprisonment with hard labour lor one year. The sentenco was confirmed.
