Blunders, 'to call them by no more severe name, such as the above are calculated to bring the whole .administration of the (>overn« ment into disrepute, and we .hope- no time will bo lost in. romov-iug the stigma now attached to the name ot an innocent and patriotic man. 1 -bat a man fighting in France should be deemed a deserter in New Zealand, and Gazetted as such, is quit® Gilbertian, and it behoves those in power to see that the gallant .soldier s name is cleared of the stain which has, through official incompetence, been attached to it.
