The " Daily Chronicle's" Amsterdam correspondent says that there is a f-eri-cur .situation in Alsace-Lorraine, where there have been an onormSus number of arrests of residents stispoetcd of disloyalty to Germany. Suspears are .sent to the interior and imprisoned. There has been much trouble in munition factories owing to constant hunger strike;; among workers of both sexes, particularly in Wurteinburg and Baden. Many men have been called from the armies to replace strikers and hunger invalids.
