i * i Mr E. Joyce, of the Antarctic ship ! Aurora, arrived from Wellington yesterday. Mr L. A. Burns, having resigned the position of Sergeant-Major at Amberfey, left Oh risf church on Saturday to take lip the medical course at the Otago University. The Rev W. A. Sinclair, president of the Methodist Conference, arrived in Christchurch yesterday. Tlo was summoned home from, tho conference in "Wellington on account of the illness of his mother. Mr ft. 11. Nottingham, son of Mr A. C. Nottingham, of Halswell, who has enlisted four times previously and been rejected, has signed on for the fifth timo and haa been accepted for sorviee with the Expeditionary Force. He wdl go into camp on April 4- Mr Not iiugham is -i member of tho fitaff of the Roval Insurance Company, Limited. Mr Nottingham, son., has two other sons who have seen sorvice at the front; one i« roturned and the other is at piesent attached to the Motor Ambulance Corps, and' is stationed at Wal-ton-on-Thames Hospital-
