I The Senate continued the debate on the Bill to give power to arm merchantmen to the President. War with Germany is on the lips of nearly every speaker. j In stonewalling the delegation of 1 power to proclaim -war to the President, Mr Stone amazed his listeners by stating that he had information from the Navy Department that if the -Da.i were adopted the Navy -would place email submarine chasers aboard merchantmen, and when the danger xone was reached the chasers would, be lowered, their duty being to seek submarines and sink them on sight.
