Two American doctors, released with the Yarrowdale prisoners, state that--480 captured crews were imprisoned at Neustreiita, and subsequently transferred to Karlsruhe. The camp, is situated in the centre of the town, between two railway stations., which the Franco-British airmen constantly bombard. The camp was established for reprisal purposes, and the prisoners include highly placed AngloFrench officers. j I
