SOUTH MALVERN FETE.

PATRIOTIC FUNCTION' AT" GLENTUNNEL. FRUIT AND PRODUCE SHOW. A flower show and patriotic fete was hold in the Glen tunnel Domain ori Saturday, the proceeds being in aid of tho Stfath Malvern Rod Cross branch and tho South Malvern Patriotic Fund. Tho weather was fine and large numbers of visitor;; were present from. She surrounding districts. Large crowds began to roil up at the Domain before! noon, the children particularly being in evidence, and before long tho many .stalls -and side-shows were doing a very brisk business. In tho afternoon a varied sports programme, including trotting races, novelty horse events, ladies' and men's tug-of-war, ladies' cricket match, and numerous events for the children, was curried out. In the evening tho grounds wore brilliantly illuminated, and a very successful open-air concert was given. Tho chief attraction in connection with the fete was a flower and produce show, which attracted large entries, and resulted in some very fine blooms and vegetables being inspected. Tho secretary (Mr F. A. Silcock) and his staff of willing helpers had a very busy day, arid the sueee-sa of the function was largely due to their efforts The following is tho prize list in connection with the flower show, tho' number of entries being given in parentheses:— POT PLANTS.
