THE GIFT AEROPLANE.

TO-DAY'S COLLECTIONS. Lady workers wore busy in th& streets of the city to-day, collecting funds for the purchase of an aeroplane by the Overseas Club for presentation to the Imperial Aircraft Squadron. They began at 8.30 a.m. Towards noon the contingent was increased and good business was done from that time on. By 1 p.m. about £l5O had been collected. A Bleriot monoplane, the property of Mr D. Crozier, is on view in Cathedral Square, behind the Godley Statae, and is attracting a great deal of interest. The engine was set in motion many times during the day. The collections will be continued until 8.30 o'clock to-night. '
