Rifleman Fan-ell has two brothers at the front, Private William Fan-ell, who lei'fc with the Third Reinforcements, and went right through ihe GalhpoU | campaign, and is now in France, and Private John Farrell, with the Seventeenth Reinforcements. - . * GUNNER L. EARLY. Gunner Leslie Early (wounded) is youngest sou of Mr O. Earlj, Greendale, and is twenty-four years of age. He was one of the first to volunteer from the district on the outbreak of war, joining the infantry. But on arrival in camp was at one© transferred to the artillery. He left with, the Main
Body, took part in the Dardanelles campaign, and has been in France sinoe the New Zealand droops first landed ihere. During 'the whole time lie lias not previously been wounded nor been absent on either eiok or holiday leave*. For sriine time he was employed carrying despatches between Francs find Belgium. His elder brother is at present serving in Egypt. Previous to enlisting he worked on his father's farm Greendalo.
