WELLINGTON, September 18. The inquiry into the loss of the Storm bird at the mouth of the Wanganui River concluded on Saturday afternoon. The Court completely exonerated the master, Captain Gibson, and the Crown will pay the costs of the inquiry.

CAUSE OF THE WRECK

WAXGANUI, September 18.

Tlie Court of inquiry found that the wreck WU3 duo to misadventure, attributed to a sea-striking the bow just as tho vessel felt the effects of the sea and wind. The vessel had insufficient, room to recover herself. There was no contributing factor of default on the pari of the pilot or the captain.
