(Received July 31, 8.50 a.m.) ROSIE, July 30.: Prior to the capture of Mount Cimono the Italians, scaled ono point with ladders. Only twenty-sis men penetrated the postion, and the Jaegers massacred them, throwing Eom© alive down the ravines. Realising that a frontal attack was necessary, tho Italians misled the Austrians by "bombarding the Asiago plateau and Pasubio. The Austrians, expecting an attack there, replied with a hurricane of fire. , Meanwhile one hundred of the Italians' guns were concentrated on Mount Cimone for twelve hours, and'it was then stormed.
