AMUSEMENTS.

QUEEN'S THEATRE; The programme at the Queen's Theatre is headed by a World Film production entitled " The Grey Mask." The settings and photography of tho film are good and it is powerfully acted. The plot is adventurous, and startling situations accumulate so rapidly _ throughout the five reels that the audience is kept up to a high pitch of excitement. The opening scenes show the heroine planning to - avenge her father, who lias been ruined by a band of schemers. Vengeance, however, is eventually wreaked and the successful parties are happily united. The supporting films are:—"The Eclair Journal," and a drama in two parts, entitled " Suppressed Evidence." The programme will bo shown continuously all the week. " STARLAND." At Starland the star film is a photoplay entitled "Tho Path of Happiness." Tho action of the piece is plastio and buoyant, and Miss Violet Mereseau, who portrays tho leading character, that of Joan of the Hills, is an actress of irresistible charm. Joan is a child of Nature, the embodiment of innocence and purity, and one cannot fail to be captivated by her charming simplicity. Tho sunshine of tho pretty play is sometimes obscured by passing clouds and moments of tragedy are threatened, but these aro dispelled in the brightness of Joan's per- \ sonality. The supporting pictures include the latest "Eclair journal," and a burlesque entitled Flirting ala Carte." The programme • will bo shown at all sessions to-day. GRAND THEATRE. To-day the Grand Theatre is showing as the principal film on its hew programme "The Yellow Streak," featuring Lionel Barryinore and Irene Howley. It is a virile, red-blooded story of a Wall Street man who goes down and out through the falseness of a friend and in his defeat shows the yelloW' streak. He goes West, and in several strong and splendidly acted scenes fights down the cowardly pare of his nature. It is a stirring story, full of tense, human interest. The photography is excellent. Another drama is " My Baby." a re-issue of an American Biograph film, and is interesting in that the principal parts aro taken by Miss Mary Pickford and j Henry B. Walthall. It is an interesting and pleasing drama, characterised by good acting. A comedy, "The Double Cross," and a topical picture completes tho programme, which will be shown daily this week.
