FOURTEENTH REINFORCEMENTS.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON. June 22. The para.de of the 14th Reinforcements, which ivjis to havo taken place in Wellington vcxt- Saturday, has been postponed till Monday afternoon. THE E!GHTE:NTHS. DIG SURPLUS IN CANTERBURY. TWENTY-NTNE OYER QUOTA IN CHIUSTCHURCII. The Canterbury military district can show a very satisfactory, position with regard to tiio Eighteenth Reinforcements, which will shortly be mobilised. Yesterday the district increased its surplus of lit men for the d'raft from sixtv-six to eighty-four. Greymouth is the only group showing a shortage, and yesterday it reduced it from twenty-three to twenty. Kaiapo,' and Nelson retained their surpluses of twenty and five respectively, while Christchnreh increased its surplus from twenty to twenty-nine, and Timaru from "forty-four to fifty. The Timaru surplus will go to make good the Greymouth shortage.
