SERBIANS' PROUD RECORD.
The Greek newspaper " Athenai," which is not particularly favourably disposed towards the Allies, pays _ a remarkable tribute to the Serbian Army. It says This valiant and Christian army shows, the same noble qualities in its daily life as in its m<Jrtial deeds. Corfu has been invaded by an army of 130,000 men. In the houses of Corfu town 5000 were billeted. " Nevertheless, during the whole of the three months of their stay not a single violent act was committed by them, not an egg eaten nor a glass of beer drunk that they had not paid —'and paid well —for. No woman has been insulted by them, nowhere have thev provoked quarrels, which are almost inherent to armies. Corfu has not seen a Serbian drunk or causing a disturbance in the street*. _ ew armies can boast of such qualities."'
