The prisoner said, that on tho outbreak of war ho offered the Admiralty a scheme which would havo dftstxoycd tJie German fleet a year ago. (Ignatius Lincoln was at one time an Anglican clcrgyinnn. Ho was n Pole by birth, and after leaving the Church became private, secretary to -Mr J3. b. Rowntree. In 1910 ho was elected M.P. for Darlington, but resigned the seat and wont to America. After his arrest he escaped, but was recaptured. While in America he interested himself in movements against munition making, and said that lie had been acting as a spy-)
